PRIME Annual Meeting 2021

The 2021 PRIME Centre Wales Annual Meeting was a virtual conference held the morning of Tuesday, 16th November 2021, 9:00-12:30. Whilst restrictions meant that this was our second annual meeting to be held completely online, it meant we were able to offer a truly 'international event,' widening our audience reach, with over 130 people joining us live on the day from as far afield as Australia and the USA.

Being online also meant we are able to welcome esteemed international guest speakers from Melbourne and Canada, who braved the time difference to join us live on the day.

  • Prof Jon EmeryHerman Professor of Primary Care Cancer Research, University of Melbourne, Australia
Presentation title: Translating risk prediction models for cancer prevention, screening and early diagnosis in Australia.
  • Carolyn Canfield, British Columbia, Canada
How patient and caregiver roles in healthcare Adjunct Professor & citizen-patient, University of British research are evolving in Canada and Internationally.

In addition, we were delighted to welcome guest speakers, who had their winning abstracts selected for presentations from an open call from our wider researcher community:
